Coven of 13 sadly extends our warmest condolences to the families and friends of Dimebag Darrel and the others who lost their lives at the Alrosa Villa Damageplan concert.  Life sucks then you die.

Last Friday at Club Liquid in Leominster, MA, proved to be quite the thrill.  Nice Venue but where was the radio DJ?  Crowd of 150+ throughout the evening.  Five bands ushering in the dead with Remains of Troy (NH); Spider Rockets (NJ); Divine Logic Error (MA); Coven Of 13 (MA); Blood Star Halo (CA).  I think our friends from California proved to be intense, dark, metal and powerful.  We recommend seeking this venue out for shows.  We'd like to thank everyone that came out to see us and the rest of the bands!

Saturday at Scorz in Nashua, NH was pretty damn awesome.  Thank you all for coming!  The sound person did a fantabulous job.  The crowd was about 50-60 people throughout the night.  Not bad considering it was a “Red Sox” party weekend.  The bar tab was intense with the profuse flow of alcohol.  Five bands celebrated with ferocious sound [Senator Whatley (NH); Grave Machine (MA); Uccultum (NH); Coven Of 13 (MA); Blood Star Halo (CA)].

Coven Of 13 rocked at the Compound with some great bands.  Tomorrow's Remedy (high energy guys, fun people) ~ Under Falling Skies (powerhouse tight band) ~ Fluttr (great to see another band that also has gals on stage that rock).

This was a heck of a farewell party to our former bassist Jeffrey. We are all proud of his accomplishments and promotion. His family held a Pig Roast in his honor and Coven of 13 entertained the crowd (Hooksett, NH). A lot of drinking, eating, laughing and drinking. Safe Journey Jeffrey…..you will always be a Coven Mate!

Saturday we finally got to play a show with "Q" and Jaded.  We heard all sorts of great things about them both, which we found to be understatements.  The show was put on by Gorilla Sound & Entertainment who had top notch gear, an excellent mix, lights and an even better crew.  Our new bass player Blind Jak was really put on the spot this night since he wasn't supposed to start until next month.  We only played two songs of our set with him before this gig with the full band.  He came in with nothing but a CD to practice with and smoked the place!  Last but not least, we thank everyone that came out to see us!

Friday we played The Compound in Fitchburg and got to rock out with some excellent bands, Rodimus, Dead Center Universe, Skill of Lying and Distraught.  Once we find all their websites we'll update you with the info in the "links" section of this web site.  We had a great time, met some decent people and would like to thank all those who came to see us!  By the way...the Compound is an awesome club with great ambience.

Coven of 13's long search for a permanent bass player is now over.  Enter Blind Jak stage left!  Jak has a gifted, unique style that fits the band like a glove.  Stay tuned for another surprise introduction.  Yep, we are adding another member to the group and once the legal work is done you'll be the first to know all about it.

Coven Of 13 polluted and rocked The Skybar in Somerville, MA. We enjoyed corrupting this eclectic crowd who banged their heads and whooted us on. Thank you. Second in line were the duet Ultra Plush. They transformed the audience with their ethereal musical sagas. Headlining was Cruciform Injection an industrial power house from Chicago who got the place hopping. Thank you to the Skybar and Joe, the sound engineer who did a great job.  A special thanks to the lovely Anders, Dark Sky booking agent. What a professional crew to work with.

Wow. We where supposed to be playing at a party but an event is closer to the mark. Needless to say Coven of 13 had a great time going insane in front of a crowd of well over 200. Not too bad for someone's backyard. We'd like to thank everyone that came for helping make an awesome time even better. Senator Whatley, Revma, Rock Bottom (the show sponsor), and err.. ok we kind of forgot their name thanks to too much beer but they are a Scorpions cover band, anyway, they all smoked!

Saturday's (6.19.2004) show at Mogie's was a blast playing to a packed house. We'd like to thank everyone that came to see us for making it such a great night!  Opening was Senator Whatley who was one of the most entertaining duo's we've seen in a long time. After Coven of 13, Mongrel ripped the place up in their debut show with their brand new line-up.  Sweet in an aggressive sort of way!  We can't wait for the new EP to be released.  Headlining was Uccultum who is well worth seeing because those guys freaking ROCK!  Heavy, dark and tight with great songs.  There was a slight issue with a fire alarm accidentally going off. The Hudson fire department is on their toes because they where there in like no time!  Hudson is well served with a crew like that and they deserve everyone's thanks.  Last but not least we'd like to thank MongrelBand.com Presents and Mogie's for inviting us to play that evening.
